Program Description

IFD Cohort 2 builds practical skill in Functional Dentistry and Dental Oral Systemic Medicine through whole person assessment, oral microbiome science, advanced diagnostics, and evidence informed care planning.

Program Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply IFD's Dental Oral Systemic Health Care Model to identify root causes, guide treatment, and lead collaborative care across dentistry and medicine.
  2. Integrate advanced laboratory, microbiome, and imaging diagnostics to uncover hidden oral-systemic disease drivers, personalize treatment plans, and measure patient outcomes.
  3. Implement evidence-informed protocols across dental disciplines, communicate effectively with patients, and build a functional practice model.

Format and Teaching Methods

Format
Virtual, on demand self instruction with prerecorded lectures, readings, case studies, and module exams.
CE credit
Track 1, Level 1: 30 CE HoursTrack 1, Level 2: 50 CE HoursTrack 2: 80 CE HoursTrack 3: 145 CE HoursCredit is awarded after full module completion and a passing final exam.
Live sessions
Case Study and Clinical Integration sessions are not eligible for CE credit.
